On this Nature Walk our expert Entomologist, Alex Rudin, from Rutgers University’s Department of Entomology Research will guide you on a walk through Herrontown Woods to explore the hidden ecosystems within logs. Alex will identify the wood-dwelling arthropods we find and demonstrate arthropod collecting techniques. There are always surprises just waiting to be discovered when you roll over a log or peel off some bark!

Hike Rating: Light Will involve on-trail walking over uneven ground with some off trail exploration. Wear sturdy, water proof, shoes.

Meet: 600 Snowden Lane, Herrontown Woods, Botanical Art Garden (“Barden”)
Time: 11:00 AM. 20 persons maximum. Light Rain or Shine. If there is heavy rain, the event will be scheduled at a later date TBD.
