RSVP to join us for a very special community celebration of the Winter Solstice
Tammy Sands will guide us through a gentle gathering to honor the land and the changing season at Herrontown Woods. Together, we’ll form a simple circle of appreciation—sharing moments of reflection, gratitude, and connection with nature. Light symbolic elements—such as water, flowers, and seeds—will be placed at the center as reminders of renewal and growth. The gathering will include light drumming, easy group singing, and guided breathing to help us slow down, listen, and feel grounded in the beauty around us.
We’ll offer a small, symbolic gesture of thanks to the earth, suitable for adults and older children, while drawing on universal themes of stewardship, respect, and care found across many cultures and faiths. Participants are welcome (but not required) to bring a drum from home, remove their shoes to better connect with the ground.
This peaceful outdoor experience is designed to help us reconnect with the natural world and with one another—no prior experience with ceremonies or rituals needed, and all are warmly welcome. Please dress warmly at this fully outdoor event.
