Join FOHW along with local birder, Irene Sha of the Princeton Birding Society in Herrontown Woods for the Great Backyard Bird Count!
An annual global initiative launched in 1989 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society, the Great Backyard Bird Count raises awareness and helps researchers understand, monitor and protect global bird populations.
You are invited to join us and Irene Sha of the Princeton Birding Society, February 15 at 9 AM at the Herrontown Woods Kiosk located at the entrance to the Barden at 600 Snowden Lane to meet fellow birders and be a part of the Great Backyard Bird Count.
To participate: Dress warmly and wear waterproof boots that have soles with good traction. Bring your binoculars, download the Merlin Bird ID and/or eBird app and we’ll see you in the ‘Woods! No dogs, please! (We would not want to scare the birds, would we?)
