At Rogers Refuge.
Get ready to count birds.
An annual global initiative launched in 1989 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society, the Great Backyard Bird Count raises awareness and helps researchers understand, monitor and protect global bird populations.
Please join us in this exciting co-sponsored event with Karen Linder, President of the Friends of Princeton Nursery Lands as she acts as our birding guide and leads the bird count on the Water Company platform at Rogers Refuge.
Please park and meet on West Drive near the sign at the turnoff for the Refuge and we’ll walk to the Water Company/Platform and back.
To participate: Dress warmly and wear waterproof boots that have soles with good traction. Bring your binoculars, download the Merlin Bird ID and/or eBird app and we’ll see you in the ‘Woods! No dogs, please! (We would not want to scare the birds, would we?)
